KPIT Technologies

Post its 2019 demerger (engineering IT to Birlasoft), KPIT is a pure software-defined-vehicle company — "software and systems for mobility," chip-to-cloud, ADAS, middleware, validation. Its concrete AI is real and dated: Agentic AI solutions for mobility software on Microsoft AI infrastructure, announced at CES on 6 January 2026 — but it is explicitly about the software development lifecycle (code quality, defect resolution). Nothing on kpit.com touches plastics, mechanical or moulded-parts engineering (checked 2026-08-01). Fails (b), the moulded-parts test — there is no physical-parts business at all.
