Infosys Engineering Services¶
Infosys ES advertises "Mechanical, Electronics and Software Engineering" [Evidence] 1, and its big engineering bet — acquiring German ER&D firm in-tech (announced 18 April 2024, closing expected Q2 2024) — is explicitly about SDV, electromobility, digital rail and smart production: software and electronics, with no plastics or mechanical-parts scope in the announcement. [Evidence] 2 Its AI umbrella, Infosys Topaz (launched May 2023), is an "AI-first offering to accelerate business value … using generative AI" — enterprise AI services with no moulding or parts-engineering touchpoint found. [Evidence] 3 Fails (b)/(c) jointly: the mechanical line exists on paper, but the acquisitions and the AI both point at software. (The study's selection tests: (a) real automotive presence, (b) real moulded thermoplastic-parts capability, (c) concrete, dated AI capability.) [Synthesis]
